Renault Megane Convertible Roof Wont Open

Just had the same problem with mine here s what the problem was the hydrolic fluid had gone bellow the min level indicator because of a slight leak to the ram the reservoir is located in the back n s boot.

I opened the roof but when i came to close it it wouldnt. Renault megane cabriolet roof broken. The roof on my megane won t open and the garage say that there is not enough pressure in the unit to operate the hydraulics. I have a renault megane dynamique convertible 2004 2ltr.

I have a 2004 renault megane hard top cabriolet. When i try and open the roof the boot starts to open on one side only offside the other side of the boot trys to open so the hydraulic ram is working but the release catch in the boot does not release. The message roof mechanism fault displays. Refill the the reservoir halfords do the hydrolic fluid for them then you need to re set the roof mecanism after opening and closeing.

The oil level was and is ok a replacement hydraulic motor from renault is 1 300.
