Many times the culprit is not a broken clay roof tile but a pipe from.
A broken tile or one that has slipped cannot normally be simply nailed back into position because the original fixing nails will be hidden behind the bottom edge of the tile above.

Also dab a small amount of silicone on the top left corner of the new tile.

The nails have an integral plastic cap that helps seal the nail holes.
