I purchased the outdoor ring security camera with built in spotlight and solar panel about six months ago and extra battery about 6 months ago.
Ring security solar panel not working.

The panel is in a location that gets sun all day and the two batteries always stayed fully charged.
If you have not already try unplugging and plugging the solar panels back in to the cams.
On the mounting plate pop the rubber weatherproofing plug out of its hole.
As long as the battery is not draining quicker than a charge can apply the solar panel should certainly be working.
Check to make sure your stick up cam is powered on.

Press the button on the back of the spotlight cam and slide the mounting plate out of its slot.
She promised to send me a replacement.
Also it appears the batteries will not charge if the switch is off so keep that in mind.
If not try another outlet.
Slide the mounting plate back into its slot on the back of the spotlight cam until it clicks into place.
Thankfully the cam still works.
If you ve checked the above and still are not receiving charge from the solar panel please try resetting your ring device by holding the setup button for 20 seconds.
There are photo eyes built in to the solar panels.
Solar panel not charging my doorbell i have the same issue spent an hour on the phone with a ring rep on april 10th took a picture of the ring charger sent it to her.
Please make sure there is no dirt debris or leaves covering the panels as well as no debris near the adapter.
The solar panels are definitely getting enough light during the day.
How do you know if your solar panel is working.
The one you re using may be faulty or associated with a light switch.
Fully close and re open your app.
Ensure your camera s battery is 100 charged.
